For an exciting experience within Formula One environment we are looking for

VEHICLE DYNAMICS ENGINEER - Suspensions
to join Rich Energy Haas F1 Team located in Maranello (Modena), Italy.

Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the candidate will be part of the Vehicle Performance Group, responsible for developing tools to predict and improve the car's performance. Working closely with the design and aerodynamics groups in Italy, and with the UK model, algorithm and software developers in the Vehicle Performance Group, the person will be in charge of providing continuous feedback to ensure adequate prioritization of tool and process developments in order to guarantee the team high performance driving on the track.

Key responsibilities for defining targets for car designers, including:
- overall inboard suspension architecture (e.g. corner vs heave/roll units)
- required suspension working space and limiters
- maximum installation compliance and friction levels
- reasonable motion ratios and rising rates
- ideal damping characteristics
- appropriate anti-dive/anti-squat geometry
- heave/pitch stiffness management devices and ranges
- patch ('setup') requirements and procedures to deliver both mechanical grip and aerodynamic platform control.

Skills and Experience:
- Mechanical or Automotive Engineering Master's Degree
- 3-5 years of work experience in Vehicle Dynamics Analysis
- A very good understanding of vehicle handling dynamics, tyre mechanics and multi-body dynamics
- Coding and modelling experience (Matlab, C , Modelica, ADAMS preferably)
- Fluent English is mandatory.

The role may require occasional, domestic, travel and a willingness to work long and flexible hours including weekends.

We can expect you to have strong interpersonal skills involving ability in team working, a methodical approach, good communication and reporting skills, open and constructive communication style in a team environment with many different nationalities.
