Our Client is a prestigious and consolidated multinational company, operating in the logistics field. With a view to expanding its managerial structure, it has instructed us to select the:Supply Chain & Logistics Manager
The resource, reporting directly to Managing Director, will be responsible for efficiently organising the sorting, handling, storage and transport of goods at the lowest achievable cost. He/she will be responsible for planning and coordinating the handling of goods inside the warehouse and their delivery to the customer, optimising all logistics solutions according to criteria of efficiency, speed and cost-efficiency.
Responsibilities
`` Planning and implementation of a cargo solution strategy, ensuring the achievement of the objectives assigned (KPI)
`` introduce and develop Integrated Logistics, Warehouse and Depot management strategies, with a strong focus on Customer Satisfaction.
`` Organisation and effective management of a large number of staff.
`` Advise optimal transport modes, routes, equipment or frequency.
`` Problem solving for transport, logistics systems, imports/exports and customer related issues.
`` Build strong relationship with customers.
Skills and experience required
`` Previous consolidated experience as Supply Chain and Logistic Manager, in a structured and international business context
`` Ability to introduce new know-how in the field of Integrated Logistics, Warehouse and Depot management, with strong orientation to Customer Satisfaction.
`` Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
`` Planning skills and cost control attitude
`` Problem solving and decision- making abilities, thinking out-of-the-box and offering innovative cargo solutions
`` Leadership, strong management and interpersonal skills, ability to lead, coordinate the team
`` Time management skills, logical and systematic approach to work
`` Excellent relationship management skills, both with internal and external teams
`` Preferred Industrial Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
`` Availability for flexible working hours when needed
`` Availability for short term trips both in Italy and abroad (also outside the EU)
`` Fluent knowledge of the English language and of any other foreign language
`` Good IT skills and interest in new technologies, networks and systems
