Supplier Quality Engineers

Responsabilities

Support the global product development process for new products and ensure that suppliers meet Company  requirements. Acting with Purchasing and platform about sourcing strategies and their implementation process definition, particularly on initial assessment (PSA Potential Supplier Assessment) and ensure that suppliers meet Company Industrial requirements for APQP (Advance Product Quality Planning) and Part Approval Process. Support current product quality management activities.Assure proper non-conformity containment tools application as CSL1/2/3 (Containment Shipping Level) and irreversible corrective actions to achieve stable supplier conformity. Grant extensive and deep usage of problem solving techniques at suppliers (8D, Ishikawa, pareto diagram etc.). Verify capability studies to assure process stability and accuracy. Perform at supplier Process Audit (PA) and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process). Support suppliers and engineering/quality team in developing technical solutions to fix quality/product issues in field and/or during development process

Skills

  • At least five years experience in following fields: Design Engineering and/or Manufacturing Engineering and/or Product validation and/or Manufacturing Quality
  • General knowledge of key industrial manufacturing processes
  • Leadership and consolidated experience in managing technical topics

Specific Technological Skills

CHEMICAL AREA

  • Demonstrated knowledge on injection and thermosetting molding processes (able to operate/improve the molding process).
  • Capability to detect early stage of development design issues impacting to tooling and or part industrialization.
  • Good knowledge of tool design, tool construction (machining) and supply management.
  • Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering/Materials Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

METALLIC/WELDING AREA

  • Welding Process Knowledge MIG/MAG/Projection Welding (qualification IIS like a plus).
  • Metallurgical Lab Reports ability to verify and validate
  • Surface coating experience / ability to verify and approve reports
  • On the job experience in engineering, manufacturing, quality related to the production of electrical, electronics, electrochemical and electromechanical devices
  • Strong knowledge on state-of-the-art on Welded parts and Safety products subject to homologation
  • Experience (also base) on complex products assembly
  • Design, manufacturing and assembly process, norms and regulations, related to above items
  • Degree in Engineering (preferred: Mechanical, Mechatronic, Aerospace, Automotive)

ELECTRIFICATION AREA

  • On the job experience in engineering, manufacturing, quality related to the production of electrical, electronics, electrochemical and electromechanical devices
  • Strong knowledge on state-of-the-art Electric motors for vehicles
  • Strong knowledge on state-of-the-art Powertrain control systems for vehicles such as converter, inverter, supercapacitors, actuators, charger,
  • Good knowledge on electric powertrain functional safety and diagnostics calibration
  • Design, manufacturing and assembly process, norms and regulations, related to above items
  • Degree in Engineering (preferred: Electronic, Mechatronic, Aerospace, Automotive)

Specific Quality Skills

  • Solid knowledge of related quality tools (APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), PA/PSA, (Process audit/ Potential Supplier Assessment), PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), etc.), international standards, international Agency standards (ISO)
  • Problem solving techniques  (8D, Ishikawa, pareto diagram etc.).

Soft Skills

  • Strongly self-motivated, determined and proactive, result driven
  • Sense of initiative
  • Availability to travel
  • Ability to learn and to work under pressure
  • Autonomous work organization
  • Good communication capabilities
  • Good leadership skills
  • Flexibility and team-working oriented
  • Fluent English knowledge (both spoken and written)
