Software Functio Safety Engineer.

The SW Function Safety Engineer has the responsibility to define SW safety strategy and to implement and provide all the related SW work products (e.g. SW Requirements, SW Architecture, SW detailed design, SW safety analyses, etc.).


Main activities/responsibilities

The SW Safety Engineer is responsible with his/her activities to:
- Define SW needs to achieve ISO26262 compliance in collaboration with the safety team.
- Define SW safety requirements in collaboration with the safety team
- Design Level2 and Level3 Monitoring strategies to meet the safety requirements.
- Support the definition of SW Architecture and define SW Detailed design
- Perform SW safety analyses (SW FMEA, Dependent Failure Analysis, FTA)
- Perform unit test and provide support for SW integration and test activities.
- Support reviews, confirmation reviews, functional safety audits and functional safety assessments on his/her own perimeter.
Key skills:
- Knowledge of ISO 26262
- Knowledge of tools and methodologies for safety analyses (e.g. SILCAL)
- Knowledge of Autosar Sw architecture at application SW level.
• Knowledge of model based SW design with Matlab/Simulink
• Knowledge of Autocode SW desing ((Assisted Code Generation tools and techniques)
• Knowledge of C Programming language
• Knowledge of Configuration Management tools and techniques
• Knowledge of Change Management tools and techniques
• Knowledge of unit test tools
• Knowledge of fault injection techniques
• Knowledge of embedded systems
• Knowledge of requirement management
• Knowledge of electric drives and their basic operation/functions
• Knowledge of Battery management basic operations/functions.
Other skills:
• MS Office
Technical background
• Experience in automotive field
• Experience in electric powertrain products (e.g. BMS, Inverter, etc.) is a plus
Language skills:
• English knowledge is mandatory
Education and former experience:
• Academic degree preferably in Computer Science or electrical/electronic/automation Engineering, or equivalent experience
