Software Engineering Methods and Tools Leader

Principal Responsibility:
- Source, develop and maintain Tools portfolio for a multi site Software development team, capable of supporting an Agile and Automotive Spice compliant development process.
- Maintain an associated set of process descriptions covering use of the toolchain.
- Interface with Program Management Office (PMO) and Quality Assurance (QA) to guarantee that process is aligned to wider Company processes and policies.
- Interface with ICT and third parties suppliers for set up and configuration of the toolchain.

Academic Background:
Master's Degree in Engineering discipline (Computer Science, Electric or Electronics Engineering).

Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years' working experience in a similar role focused on development of software tools and methodologies.
- Experience of helping organization in transitioning from older development toolchains to new more modern tools.
- Strong Change Management capabilities.
- Good knowledge of Agile frameworks (SAFE, XP etc.).
- Excellent communication and servant leadership skills.
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Knowledge of digital twins based development process.
- Experience with CIBA processes and associated tools.
- Understanding of industry guideline processes applied to automotive software embedded products (PPAP, Aspice, ISO 26262, Autosar).

Missions:
Support transition of current toolchain ecosystem to new framework of tools and process supporting Agile, Autosar, CIBA and compliancy to Aspice, MISRA and ISO26262 requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Map existing toolchain and process and define plan for maintenance for legacy products.
- Work in collaboration with SW Engineering team, PMO and QA to design integrated toolchain covering the business needs with respect to Quality, Cost and Delivery targets and providing automated burn down and progress chart to upper management.
- Select new toolchain products and manage external consultancy where necessary for implementation.
- Introduce automation of tasks to support CIBA in software development process.
- Responsible in collaboration with ICT and Purchasing of management of SW development licenses both from a budget standpoint (maintenance contracts) and an availability standpoint (licence pooling and utilization monitoring across three regions).
- Interface with ICT to setup server architecture to allow data sharing and co-development across different regions.
- Maintain and deploy new toolchain within agreed timelines.
- Help teams implement changes effectively.


Management:
- Manage implementation plan with internal (SW engineering R&D) and external (Corporate Advanced Team, External consultancies) stakeholders.
- Qualified candidates will work well under pressure, demonstrate excellent problem solving and creativity, and be able to quickly evaluate new information and make appropriate decisions.

Multicultural experience:
- Longstanding experience of working in an international context and/or living abroad, fluent English skills.
