Our client has built the next generation of solutions that develops world-scale ecosystems in under-resourced communities for the study and the management of Rare Diseases. They do this through an innovative, unique approach combining technology, process, financial and legal expertise into a single product, which is a managed service. After an exciting startup period, where they supported one of the biggest RD's global community to build Hereditary Angioedema Global Registry, the first global rare disease registry 100 based on managed services and cloud computing, and a successful first financial round, now they are ready for a global scale-up of our initiative.

About the role:
The purpose of the role is to support and lead commercial operations in the Rare Diseases market at worldwide level.
The specificity of this environment calls for knowledge of the dynamics in patients advocacy groups, scientific research groups, relations with pharma industry, regulatory institutions/payors together with the familiarity with complex multiparty contracts design and strong negotiating/commercial competences.
The holder of this position will interact with decision-makers (C-suite) of Pharma companies, Patient Advocates Organizations, Scientific research Institutions and other key stakeholders to ensure sales growth aligned to the overall global strategy of the company.
He will understand stakeholders needs, identifying and addressing the different access paths to the market: pharma companies, trusts, charities, patients advocates organizations, research organizations, public and private grants/funding structures.
He will develop, lead and manage the commercial operations, starting from the EU region, to the US and rest of the world.
He will participate in the price positioning and service contracting design for the different customers.

Responsibilities:
- Sales operations
- Budget management for sales activities
- Assisting in the assessment of licensing opportunities
- Collaborating in the development and execution of the commercial narrative for the innovative solutions, including supporting the creation of a publication strategy to support access
- Collaborating with the team to identify and communicate market insights. Ensure market insights are reflected in strategic decision making and provide regular updates and insights relating to market performance
- Establishing engaging, productive and sustainable work relationships with key stakeholders (e.g. Regulatory, Medical, Finance, marketing and regional personnel
- Participating in and actively providing input to the Global strategic Rare Disease related plans and initiatives

Required Background:
- 10 years of experience in a marketing/commercial or fundraising role, covering EU and USA in:
an international pharmaceutical
or biotechnology
or hi-tech eHealth
or in an international institution operating in innovation on rare diseases

Required skills:
- Strong collaborative and comprehensive strategic access skillset
- Business oriented and nimble learning abilities
- Planning, process and results oriented
- Demonstrated cross-cultural sensitivity
- Ability to lead through influence
- Able to work with high degree of uncertainty
- BA/BS degree required advanced degree preferred
- Experience in real world evidence utilization and working with PROs
- Prior rare disease experience is strongly recommended
- The ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required (up to 50 )
