We are looking for a Project Safety Manager - based in Torino or Bologna.

The Project Safety Manager is responsible for the functional safety management of projects assigned to him/her.

Main activities/responsibilities

The Project Safety Manager is responsible to:

Evaluate the functional safety impact of RFIs, RFQs and CRs, in collaboration with Functional Safety Specialists.

Participate to functional safety committees (interacting with governance and legal team) to ensure timely resolution and communication of RFIs, RFQs and CRs (with proper disclaimer definition).

Provide coaching on functional safety procedure to PMs, Sales and R&D team.

Collaborate with OEMs on defining functional safety classification, safety requirements applicability and feasible solutions.

Interact with suppliers to ensure the achievement of SEooCs functional safety compliance.

Interact with OEMs and suppliers for the agreement of safety-related strategies and for the definition of a DIA for the given project.

Estimate the effort for Functional Safety team activities.

Plan, monitor and control functional safety activities.

Define safety plan and safety case.

Act as the main interface between Functional Safety team and the other project teams on safety-related issues.

Provide approval to verification reports produced during product development.

Execute / support confirmation reviews, functional safety audits and assessments.

Sign-off release for production for safety-related projects, in collaboration with BL Functional Safety Manager.

Key skills

Knowledge of ISO 26262

Knowledge of electric powertrain products is a plus

Customer management

Leadership

Communication skills

Multinational team working

Other skills

MS office

Technical background

Experience in automotive field

Experience in safety-critical development

Language skills

English knowledge is mandatory

Education and former experience

Technical Engineering Degree or equivalent knowledge.

Experience in functional safety development and / or project management, ideally in the automotive industry.
