Power Electronics Core Engineering Responsible

In this role, the candidate will have the global responsibilities for Company's research and development for the entire electric vehicle platforms which include mHEV, HEV, PHEV and BEV.

Responsibilities
Conduct Critical Design Review of all high/low power electronics for electric propulsion, High/Low voltage DC-DC converters, EV Charging Systems, Power Distribution Centers at each development phase, apply best practice and lessons learned from design to launch, support evaluation of all EV power electronics systems.
In this role, He/She will also be responsible for staffing, mentoring and managing a team of engineering specialists in power electronics, to ensure that the supplier's product and internal designs are properly specified, designed and validated to meet the Company's performance and safety requirements.
As the responsible of the core engineering hardware design group the candidate will work with Company cross-function/vehicle teams, suppliers, and universities to develop/implement advance technologies for next generation electric vehicle technologies and maintain relevant technical documents, best practice, and sign-off documents in collaboration with the global organization.

Competences and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 10-15 years of overall power electronics/power conversion experience in Low voltage and High voltage
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in managing technical team of experts
- Must have a good understanding of power semiconductor module technologies used in EV applications and working experience with major power module manufacturers
- Experience with performance analysis, testing, and validating of power conversion modules
- Experience with testing, validating, and design optimization of power inverters, chargers and converters extensive experience with analysis, testing and de-rating strategies of power electronics component
- Extensive experience and expertise in thermal modeling, simulations, analysis and thermal management of Power Electronics components and mechanical systems
- Thorough understanding of power electronics components/systems development process from concept through launch.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and thermal systems for high power electronics
- Highly rated for leadership and teamwork
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interest in the automotive industry and electrified powertrain systems
- English Proficiency: Intermediate/High
- Master of Science or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, preferably in Power Electronics major
- Experience with Control of Induction and Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines
- Knowledge in Induction and Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines performance evaluations
- Knowledge in low power electronics, analog/digital circuit design, FPGA, Microprocessor, Sensor technologies
- Knowledge in V2V, V2L and V2G technologies and knowledge in DFMEA and DFSS methodologies
- Availability to travel internationally
