Mechanical Engineer
QUALIFICATIONS
'' Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
General skills
Mechanical engineer need to have:
'' Experience in mechanical systems development for electronics, in industrial or automotive markets
'' Fluent English language, spoken and written
'' Problem solving skills
'' Attention to detail
'' Ability to work in a team and individually
'' Autonomy
'' Capability of working towards tight deadlines
'' Ability to plan and manage delivery of the design outputs according to the deadlines
'' Ability to communicate with customers, colleagues and management to explain complex issues clearly and concisely
Technical skills
Mechanical engineer must have:
'' Ability to design static, and simple kinematic systems (enclosures for electric and electronic systems, with air or liquid cooling)
'' Ability to 3D CAD modeling
'' Knowledge on 2D technical drawings
'' Experience on FEM simulation tools (e.g. ANSYS) for structural, vibrational, thermofluidodynamic analysis
'' Assist in the collection and documentation of system and mechanical requirements, timeline estimations and working plans
Mechanical engineer should have:
'' Knowledge on design of plastic molded parts
'' Knowledge on design of metal sheet / metal carpentry parts
'' Knowledge on assembly technologies (riveted coupling, screwed couplings, welding, etc. and their tolerances)
'' Experience on Creo 3 CAD design tool
'' Experience on electromechanical and mechatronic components
'' Basic knowledge on most common standards
Typical work includes:
'' Customer requirements analysis
'' System architecture definition
'' Creating technical specifications
'' Development of enclosures for electrical and electronic systems, and relative cooling systems (air cooling, liquid cooling). Cooling systems may include radiators, fans, water pumps, piping, etc.
'' FEM simulation for structural, vibrational, thermofluidodynamic analysis (e.g. ANSYS)
'' Testing developed mechanics, ensuring that it adheres to the applicable standards, and customer requirements
'' Preparation of reports, manuals and other documentation (e.g. acceptance tests and criteria definition)
'' Maintaining systems by monitoring and correcting possible defects
'' Travelling to different project sites
'' Working on multiple projects at one time
'' Liaising with project teams in other parts of the world
Tools
Mechanical engineer has to work with:
'' Creo 3 CAD design tool
'' FEM simulation tools (ANSYS)
'' Laboratory instrumentation, like mechanical machining tools, gauges, manometers, flow meters, etc.
