The candidate, reporting to the Plant Director and managing a team of 3 resources, will be responsabile for:
-Evaluate, plan, schedule and prioritize long-term and short-term production across all shifts, considering production capabilities and materials availability -Release production orders -Monitor inventory levels to ensure the proper turn rate is maintained -Maintain warehouse inventory levels in line with budget lead time -Provide the input of purchasing orders for materials and components with a short lead time -Monitor and continuously improve supplier's delivery and quality of performance (request for missing components reject of unnecessary materials) -Optimize order management process to ensure effective communication with suppliers -Address and resolve recurring or critical issues taking initiative for corrective actions -Provide feedback on suppliers' performance -Minimize material freight expenses by optimizing the inbound logistics end material handling.
The ideal candidate fulfills the following requirements:
- Technical Degree preferably in Engineering or Economics/Statistics
- 3 to 5 years experience in multinational company as responsible for production planning, scheduling and in-bound logistics planning
- Good knowledge of operations processes, terminology, and ordering issues
- Knowledge of Warehouse management, logistics and material handling
- Good analysis and excellent planning and priority settingskills
- Strong decision making skills, active leadership style and capability in team working to share techniques and best practices
- Solid financial skills, including the ability to analyze data and determine cause and effect
- Knowledge of ERP (preferably SAP) and Lean Manufacturing approach
- Fluency in English.
