Our Client is a prestigious and consolidated Company, leader in the Special Machinery and Systems industry sector. To reinforce its structure, commissioned us to select the following professional figure

 

Field Service Engineer

Tasks

Provide on-site support for the Instron product range, including, but not limited to calibration, maintenance and basic troubleshooting of materials testing systems in Italy.  

Proactively look for leads for new machines, accessories and other services.

Be familiar with the company’s product life cycle in order to be able to advise customers regarding obsolescence.

Report on competitive equipment and activities at customer sites.

Ensure that adequate preparation and planning is made before each visit so that the job is completed correctly without the need for further follow up visits.

Ensure that planning for visits including travel is carried out in the most cost-efficient way.

Deliver basic software training to customers, when required.

Reponsible for quality of own work and ensure all administration is accurate and up to date, to the latest company requirements using the tools provided.

To submit expenses and other paperwork within the required timeframe.

Contribute to the company's efforts to improve customer satisfaction, reduce costs and improve quality using the Company Tool Box and other process’s as required.

Perform other ad hoc duties as may from time to time be requested.

 

Skills

High school diploma relevant technical discipline: mechatronics, mechanics, electrical, electronic engineering or equivalent

Troubleshooting experience with electromechanical or servo hydraulic systems.

Solid experience in the same role

Basic awareness of costs and own impact on margin

Well organized with good time management skills

Good written and verbal communication skills

Excellent interpersonal skills, flexible, resilient, open minded

Team player and strong Customer oriented

Fluent in English both oral and written

Willingness to travel frequently
