Our Client is a prestigious multinational industrial reality, leader in its reference sector. For an increase in the staff, instructed us to select the
Engineering Manager
The resource will be responsible for Engineering and Technical teams, capital budget and the Facility management across the Plant. He/She will provide leadership to the site in developing and implementing strategies to improve the asset and process capability to fulfill the business need.
The role reports to the Mill Manager, is a member of the Plant Senior Leadership Team and manages a team of direct reports.
Responsabilities
- Support and lead specific operational strategies as engineering, process development, facilities etc;
- Manage the site capital process and ensure short and long term capital needs are identified and progressed;
- Through the Facility Management supplier, make sure the building is maintained at the standard level required;
- Identify and evaluate best practices (internal and external) and, where appropriate, champion the introduction across or to the site;
- Act as “Mill Security coordinator” managing all the Security plan accordingly with the Corporate plan;
- Manage the relationship with External governmental offices and with external companies, aligning also EHS and Security internal policies;
- Ensure that power distribution is effectively and safely managed and operated across the site;
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Business Plans, policies and practices which meet the current and anticipated needs of the site and its customers.
- Work in accordance with the documented Quality Systems procedures operated by the Company.
- Management of direct report and need to have strong working relationships at all Company levels
Skills and Experience
- Graduate (or equivalent) in a engineering / operations
- Experience of working within engineering / manufacturing
- Exceptional organisational skills
- Ability to manage a range of priorities and work request from stakeholders
- Self starter, motivated person with strong problem solving skills
- Able to communicate and work with others at all levels of the organisation to influence and challenge teams in a variety of different environments.
