Cell-Module Application Engineer (High Voltage Battery System) is responsible for developing and managing requirements for advanced automotive battery cells-modules for hybrid and electric vehicle applications.
Responsibilities
- Managing core requirements documents for lithium ion battery cells and modules.
- Managing core performance specifications for lithium ion battery cells and modules.
- Supporting development of source packages for battery cells and modules.
- Ensuring proper flow of requirements between the battery pack design teams and the cell and module Design Responsible Engineers
- Support critical design review process for lithium ion cells/modules.
- Main interface between advanced development teams, virtual analysis teams, vehicle teams, pack teams to ensure all critical requirements for cells/modules have been documented.
- Maintain lessons learned, holding regular meetings with cell/module/pack Design Responsible Engineer teams to document.
- Member of cross functional team supporting battery pack design and release engineering.
Competences and experience
- Degree Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science or Equivalent.
- Solid experience in of product development and/or process development for Lithium Ion Batteries
- Understanding of energy storage systems and vehicle electrification
- Good Analytical and Problem Solving Skills
- Familiar with EV and HEV - Highly Motivated and Self Starter
- Experience with requirements flow and development.
- Demonstrated Ability to Work in a Team Environment
- English Proficiency: Intermediate/High
- Experience with PPAP process.
- Excellent quality, manufacturing and product assurance planning skills
- Possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
- Working understanding of PFMEA, DFMEA, and DVP&R
- Familiar with FEA, CAE, and CFD, and thermal analytical tools
- Good communication, problem solving, computer and presentation skills
- Availability to travel internationally
